Rudolph Ramble 8K Chicago

Last race of the season! Couldn't resist a chance to wear a sparkly outfit with knee high socks in December.  The weather ended up being really great considering the time of the year and we had a blast.  Ran it with my partners in crime (Jen and Tia) and had a blast.  We got a cute fitted cotton shirt (jen is wearing it) which was a nice change from an ill fitting tech shirt or a horribly ugly logo.  However, the over advertised "commemorative antlers" were definitely a letdown.

Race was along the lakefront path. Turn around was at Markowitz golf course and they laid out the course so there wasn't any congestion of the faster runners making their way back towards the finish as us slower runners were clogging up the entire sidewalk.  That was a nice surprise as that normally is an issue in the smaller races along the lakefront.  I finished just under 49 minutes.

Met up with the girls after, took some race pics and closed the books on an awesome 2012 race season!!!
